"Injustice"

This video provides a brief look at the making of Injustice.

Injustice takes a look at our mixed emotions as we fight for equality in America for minority communities. This artwork is meant to display two sides of this fight - one being the anger, frustration, anxiety and sadness resulting from events that shake our communities. The other being the hopefulness, allyship, love and warmth we experience knowing that we’re not in it alone.

The sun and newspaper represent progress and our path forward. Our various emotions are represented in a haze of rose-colored smoke and complementing nuanced color palette. The bouquet honors those who have passed while showing appreciation for those among us today that continue in this fight. Looking closely, the LA Times articles show hallmark moments such as the verdict of the Ahmaud Arbery trial.
